Hello everyone. Very Happy

Introductions are never really easy for me ... so I will make this quick. Laughing

I am a Highly Sensitive Person, which I am trying at this time to learn how to embrace. It is just a part of who I am ... although I am sometimes a bit hard to understand.

I am an abuse survivor, sexual, emotional, and physical. Those are things I try to put behind me, but can't sometimes ... so I am hoping to learn here how to help myself embrace that part of me as well. This may sound a bit odd, but I have gone to counseling and therapy ... as well as support groups, but for some reason I come out of those sessions a whole lot more shaken than when I went in.

My son is AD/HD, and my daughter is dyslexic. Those are things that I too hope to come to understand a bit better. It will help me to help them.

I have family, and other loved ones who battle mental illnesses and disorders, so I will be around asking questions ... and if I can think of anything helpful ... I will pop in a wee post.
